Happy Anniversary Mak & Abah

I was quite surprised when Mak informed me few months back that they (Mak & Abah) would like to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary in a hotel. According to Mak, most probably they won't be able to celebrate it together if they wait for 50th anniversary.

We went to Melting Pot Restaurant, Concorde Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The foods served were OK. The environment was warm & cosy. The highlight of the event was group performance by this Indon ( I've since forgot the name of the group) who belted 3 romantic numbers and what I know that almost wept by the end of their show.

Gave Mak a gold brooch and hand-woven sarung for Abah on top of Proton Wira 1.5 AB that we shared among 4 of us.

Bangkok Jam Again

Another day stucked in traffic jam yesterday. As the van was not moving for more than 10 minutes, we decided to walk back to the hotel. It just 6 minutes walk rather than probably 60 minutes in the jam.

The Infamous Bangkok Traffic Jam

I heard about how bad the traffic jam in Bangkok before. Initially, I thought it is just normal Sungai Buloh traffic jam. Yesterday, for the first time, I'd experience how bad it is. Really bad. It took us 2 hours for a half an hour trip on any given day. And I forgot to empty my bladder before boarding the van.

Distress call

My Anis called me last nite to informed that power suply to our house was disrupted. According to her, it probably due to power socket used by TV. Called Roin but no answer. Called Azmir aka komeng and his wife answered that he's at Surau performing Isyak prayer. Finally I called lan and asked him to check what causing the supply to trip.

Supply was resumed after roin disable the TV socket (I believe). My thanks to Roin, Komeng, Lan as well as others who help.

It's another 1-2 finished for Ferrari at Hungary Grand Prix thus securing constructor title for this year. As expected, Schumacher also keeps the driver title with him for another year.

Rimbun Cafe

It's been sometimes since i last sample western food. So I decided to take 'em all for western dinner. Two choices between Ayeem burger and Rimbun Cafe. Rimbun cafe said anis.

Ordered

Appetizer - Mushroom soup come with garlic bread
Main course - Chicken for anis & lamb chop for me.
Drinks - Barly for her and milk carrot for me which later i change to tea.

Environment

The environment is conducive enough for dining. Good music altho is just from local radio, lighting and table arrangement is quite ok.

Food.

The appetizer was not served even after 10 min and only arrived after i queried about it. and it came together with the main course!!!. {Apadah...nak niaga western food sangat!!!Chaittt}The soup is a bit hot. so i just skip it. the lamb is nice, soft & tender. but the black pepper sauce is tasteless. she said the chicken is ordinary. nothing to shout about.

Overall.

The place is OK. Food average altough i like the lamb. Total damage is RM25.20. Will I repeat -NO unless i've no other choice.
